Hanover, June 20, 2024: Over 150 experts and logistics enthusiasts made their way to the HCC Hanover. State Secretary Frank Doods opened this year's TRANS4LOG Congress, having already exchanged ideas with entrepreneurs and founders before the start and showing himself to be impressed. The industry is systemically relevant, emphasized Frank Doods in his speech and referred to the large number of innovative solutions made in Lower Saxony.
Sharing economy? Why actually?
Efficiency and sustainability are the answer. Many of the innovative solutions and approaches presented at the TRANS4LOG Congress address increasing efficiency, resource management, sustainability and, of course, the shortage of skilled workers that can be felt everywhere.
The solution to many problems, as became clear in the exciting presentations and keynote speeches, is cooperation, sharing resources, forming consortia and further interaction with the aim of optimizing the use of resources. Of course, the sharing approach is not new. However, it still offers a great deal of potential for various business models, some of which pursue very specific and others very universal approaches.
The TRANS4LOG Congress offered a broad spectrum of corresponding concepts and concrete services and products. Start-ups and industry experts presented how intensively work is being done on interfaces (UI/UX), security, data analysis and use, flexible working models and collaborative solutions; with success.
Of course, there was also plenty of networking. It is a good tradition to discuss the impressions gained and make new contacts.
The Logistic FightClub "To Share or not to Share?" opened the discussion. Christian Wicht from transporeon and Jens Happe from Happe Projects had a lively discussion, moderated by Olaf Krause, about trust and collaboration.
Innovative business models: Sharing is all about you
7 pitches, 7 times knowledge gain. That's how you can summarize this part of the congress. The focus was always on the necessary mindset. Sharing economy is a comprehensive task. That became clear. But also that it can be solved and that the benefits are too great to do without. The knowledge pick-ups - or as exhibitors called it: speed dating.
Coglas: Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending the Trans4Log Congress in Hanover. It was a great opportunity to present our COGLAS WEB WMS at our stand. We were able to have many interesting conversations and listen to some inspiring presentations. We were particularly pleased with the many discussions at our stand about current trends and challenges in the logistics industry.
Logiline: Totally exciting what the many invited companies have already mastered and presented today in an entertaining way! Whether as a keynote speech or a short pitch, whether with their own stand or in a discussion over coffee, all participants got their money's worth today - again charmingly and professionally moderated by Katrin Hรถhne.
#Logiline was represented by a great team from our sales department, who impressed all visitors with their pitches.
Papair: The logistics industry never sleeps. How PapairWrap will change the industry for good.
At Trans4Log, a leading congress for logistics experts, we were able to show how the use of PapairWrap, the bubble wrap made of paper, allows resources to be used more efficiently, workflows to be optimized and logistics processes to remain competitive.
Trans4Log brings together innovators and decision-makers from the industry to discuss current trends and solutions.
The core topics were the sharing economy and last mile logistics, which are directly relevant to our packaging solutions. Because PapairWrap is the answer to sustainable challenges in the supply chain.
Trans.Eu: Our impressions: The guided tours to the exhibitors' stands were real icebreakers. The 3-minute pitches of the interactive concept provided the basis for in-depth follow-up discussions.
Erik Wirsing's keynote speech with valuable insights into the changes in global mobility concepts was highly professional and captivating.
Last but not least, the perfectly organized event benefited from Katrin Hรถhne's excellent and charming moderation.
Why was the 8th Trans4Log Congress interesting for Trans.eu?
The topic "Sharing Economy in Logistics" strikes a chord with the industry and digital platforms provide an important prerequisite here.
The presentation by Michael Otto, CEO of Trans.eu Our impressions:

Transporeon: Sharing economy - data sharing in logistics. Thanks to Olaf-Ulrich Krause and Jens O. Happe for the verbal "fight" today at the Hashtag#Trans4Log congress in Hanover. The insight is clear: without data sharing, we will not solve the inefficiencies in transport logistics."
Baitech Data: "Last week I was not only in Leipzig, but also in Hanover at the TRANS4LOG Congress. In terms of content, this time (exceptionally) ๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ต๐ AI was at the top of the agenda, but "๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐บ๐". So it was about working together. Data exchange, platforms, collaboration, flexibility.
One of the first items on the agenda was ๐๐ผ๐ด๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐๐ฐ๐น๐๐ฏ, where the pros and cons were discussed. For me, the opportunities in the area of sharing outweigh the disadvantages, but of course the rules of the game must ensure that everyone enjoys making their data available. It must be ensured and transparent: what happens to the data and who has access to it. What I found particularly successful was the #StartUp speed dating in the second part of the event. Each stand had the opportunity to present itself briefly and succinctly and answer questions. 3 minutes for the pitch - 2 minutes for questions. 6 runs. With such formats, it is of course a question of whether the pain is exactly hit - but the first follow-up discussions were not wrong!
Many thanks for the successful day and to all participants and StarUps for the interesting and varied day.
IdentPro: A networking format that I like. The TRANS4LOG congress was a great networking event. Whether start-ups or scale-ups like us, innovations in the field of logistics were pitched and discussed. I met MotionMiners GmbH, SLAPStack, cellumation GmbH, Digilo GmbH, The Scanbase Laserscanning, Bosch Rexroth, Transporeon and many more. Originally from the Lower Saxony region, it is now more of a nationwide event. ย Great format in the Congress Center Hannover.

wirkaufendeinethg.de: Yesterday was all about #logistics Fabian and Felix were at the Trans4Log Congress in Hanover yesterday and presented our two companies wirkaufendeinethg.de and mmmint.ai to the logistics experts on site. The two are enthusiastic about the event and were able to gather some insights for us.
Here are the highlights: A very successful event for everyone involved. Exhibitors and visitors were able to exchange ideas very well
ย New trends in the logistics sector: New sharing concepts were presented on site, which are not only interesting in the mobility sector, but also promote collaboration. Sharing data intelligently and securely, for example, is becoming increasingly important in the sector. Networking is a top priority: Fabian and Felix were able to have some insightful conversations and make valuable new contacts. Conclusion: An event made for logisticians. Thanks for having us! We are already looking forward to next year!
Scanbase: The TRANS4LOG Congress was an excellent opportunity for us, a PropTech company from Hanover, to present our solution. We digitize small to very large properties for transparent construction planning and sustainable documentation. We create a digital twin of existing buildings and offer a customized 3D point cloud, a 3D model or the floor plan - tailor-made for your extensions, conversions and renovation work. The high-precision measurements enable quick and accurate dimensioning as well as a solid foundation for further planning and development.
We also "practiced" on the premises of the congress. ย Thank you for an exciting networking and exchange with potential partners. We look forward to becoming part of the TRANS4LOG community!
It remained exciting until the last second. This was not least due to the two keynotes.
Dr. Michael Merwart from neu/wagen gave a comprehensive and impressive presentation on the topic of future mobility scenarios and shed light on the complex, sometimes emotional topic in detail, openly and with a keen sense of potential challenges.
And then there were the megatrends in logistics, which Erik Wirsing from DB Schenker spoke about and concluded with the message "Tomorrow will definitely be different!". Disruption is the new normal - so always stay #hungry for innovation. We want to stay that way.
We learned, discussed, listened, exchanged ideas and got to know each other, networked, laughed and had a great time together. Sharing is caring became the unofficial motto of the day, and perhaps not only of the day.
We look forward to welcoming you again in 2025.
